Anita is your USA contact. Anita came to the Dominican Republic for the first time at the age of 7 months (with The Eckerts). She was partially raised by AnaJulia and loves Monción. She is fluent in English and Spanish and will help you with the planning and preparation prior to arriving to Casa De Las Anas. Anita tries to visit the Dominican Republic every year.

Nene is the eldest of the Peralta brothers. He works as a "barquillero" selling icecream on his motorcycle. He stores the icecream at Casa De Las Anas, so you will see him on a daily basis. The plus-side is that you can buy an icecream cone or popsicle at any time for $1 without needing to leave the house!

Rolando (Nene) Peralta

Darling is AnaJulia's brother-in-law. He has a SUV and will come pick you up from the airport or Beach resort if you so choose. He works as a teacher and used to fix motorcycles. He likes to do dirtbiking trips into the backcountry and spend time with his wife Wandaly and daughter Camila.

Diana Peralta

Glenys is AnaJulia's sister who lives in a neighboring town, Los Pinos. There, she and her husband, Giberto run a small Casabe factory. She and her sons, Giberto (Papitico) and Cesar (Chichi) also own a pit-stop where passersby can stop for a beer and a billiards game. Glenys and Giberto have a daughter with special-needs who is one of the favorites of the family.

Casa De Las Anas would not be possible without the ongoing support and generosity of Penelope and David Eckert. The Eckerts are always finding ways to make Casa De Las Anas more environmentally sustainable and provided the finances to buy the land. The Eckerts live in Northern California and visit Casa De Las Anas frequently.

Marisa is our closest neighbor and stops by frequently. She helps out with the landscaping and fruit-picking. Her husband, Pablo is our go-to man for all our house maintenance issues. Whenever her family goes fishing in the Monción reservoir, she brings us delicious fresh fish to share.
